Inspiration

Dr Elizabeth Blackwell (1821-1910) was the first woman to qualify as a doctor in the USA, graduating first in her class in 1849. She was the first female to be registered by the GMC to practice medicine in the UK in 1959. Amongst her many remarkable lifetime achievements Elizabeth founded The New York Infirmary for Women and Children, opened The Women’s Medical College in New York, and formed the National Health Society, which aimed to educate people about the benefits of hygiene and healthy living. Throughout her lifetime Elizabeth was a strong advocate of women’s rights, campaigning for the right of British women to be allowed to study for medical degrees. She also fought to abolish slavery.

So happy with this bag, such a lovely touch of class and presentable fashion I can enjoy everyday taking it to work. No more ‘make shift’ laptop bag situation and fumbling around for that urinalysis bottle/otoscope during home visits or clinic. The whole design is carefully considered – loving their solid padlock for extra security, as well as metal feet to keep the bag clean and directly off surfaces. Perfect for travel and conferences. I cannot recommend this bag enough anyone as an investment piece for work, or as a bespoke graduation gift to that special doctor friend/colleague in your life! Thank you IYASU and Catherine! It’s five solid stars from me! xx

So delighted with my Elizabeth bag – great design with plenty of pockets for storing all my equipment. Will be heading to work with a spring in my step tomorrow! Would definitely recommend to any GP wanting to treat themselves

As a bag addict I love a beautiful bag. This may be a fabulous medical bag (and it most certainly is!) but it is so much more than that. As I sit here en route to a business meeting in London, my brand new Elizabeth is by my side, packed with papers, laptop, chargers, drinks, snacks, makeup, purse, stationery and more, all safely zipped up and yet it looks sleek and stylish in its regal red and gold. It’s got loads of sections and pockets and is really comfortable on my shoulder too, with a good length strap, and no digging in. This is a super special addition to my collection which removes the need for me to carry two bags everywhere on business.

I absolutely love this bag! It’s beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and clearly very high quality. I’ve received so many compliments on it already. The compartments and pockets make organizing my work essentials so much easier, and everything finally has its place. It feels sturdy yet elegant, and it looks just as professional as it is practical. I’m so glad I invested in it—it makes my workday feel a little more put together.

Oh my goodness. I love love love loooove my new prenatal bag. I bought this luxurious bag as a graduation present to myself for midwifery school and I truly look forward to using this bag for prenatal appointment. I love the bag not only for the amount od space, and that large amount of items it can hold, but also for the representation of IYASU bags. I am definitely planning on buying more. Thank you for what you stand for and making quality, luxury, eco-friendly bags for medical providers such as myself. Thank you. I look forward to buying more.

I am absolutely over the moon with the Victoria Bag and flabbergasted about the quality and attention to detail! The bag itself has a perfect size and is not only a delight to look at but also very practical on the inside. I am not a doctor, but I travel a lot for work and from now on I will be the proud owner of this gorgeous bag. It’s very important for me that this bag is vegan and cruelty free. The card explaining a bit about Elizabeth Blackwell is very special. My daughter is named after Aletta Jacobs, and we need to acknowledge female contributions to health care (and other fields of science) much more than we currently do. I am Dutch and I watched Dragon’s Den, which sparked my interest. Thank you for sending me the bag of my life!
