Catherine is the founder and CEO of IYASU Vegan Medical Bags. She grew up in the quiet and beautiful village of Comrie in Perthshire, Scotland. A 2001 graduate of Aberdeen Medical School, she now works as a GP in Haddington, East Lothian, Scotland.
Catherine is married to Kevin (Co-Director of IYASU) and is a mother of 4 children. She cares deeply about her family and her career and is passionate about education, access to healthcare and being kind to the planet. These values are reflected in the brand ethos of IYASU.
Catherine has designed a sustainable fashion brand to bring the world of doctor’s bags up to date and meet the needs of the growing numbers of women in healthcare.
IYASU uses only vegan and recycled materials to create its medical bags, making it a kinder choice for the environment. The company donates a percentage of profits from each bag to charities which promote education and healthcare.
